Assistant Manager / Senior Analyst – Investment Management (Commercial Property – Asia)

Client

A multinational property development group covering commercial portfolio of premium shopping malls and office buildings

Job Description

-   

Greater China Capital Recycling Strategy: Support and execute capital recycling strategies, including portfolio-based & special structure transactions (e.g., Exit Analysis, residential PM structured exits)

-   

Portfolio Management Support: Provide portfolio management support to key business owners ensuring alignment and consistency with the key stakeholders involved

-   

Investment & Divestment Leadership (ex-China): Support investment and divestment activities in markets outside China, with a focus on new opportunities in Japan and Korea

Regional Marketing: Support general marketing efforts in North Asia, advancing regional brand positioning and supporting investment objectives

-   

Fundraising Strategy: Support leadership to design and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to attract both institutional and individual investors to the firm’s investment funds

Private Investor Engagement & Relations: Identify, cultivate, and engage with high quality, institutional investors, and financial intermediaries. Co-lead investor meetings, presentations, and roadshows. Oversee the preparation and delivery of investment proposals, pitch books, and marketing materials

Team Collaboration: Work closely with broader HKL team to understand investment management value-add and effectively communicate the unique value propositions of the firm’s strategy

Market Research: Conduct detailed market research to assess trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics within the investment sector

-   

Compliance: Ensure all fundraising and investor activities are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation.

Reporting: Provide comprehensive strategic insights and regular updates to senior management and the board on third party capital management progress, investor feedback, and market developments

Requirements

-   

Degree holder or above in Finance, Real Estate, Business or equivalent

-   

8 years or above relevant experience in investment management or capital markets

-   

Solid experience in commercial property, preferably for China, Japan, Korea etc

-   

Proven experience in developing client relationships, especially with high-net-worth investors

-   

Outstanding analytical and strategic planning skills and managing multi-market portfolios

-   

Demonstrate success in leading complex investment and divestment transactions

-   

Well-versed in regulatory environments and compliance standards relevant to investment funds

-   

Excellent command of both spoken and written English, Mandarin & Cantonese is a plus

-   

Able to work independently with multidisciplinary teams across diverse cultural settings

-   

Result-oriented professional with excellent leadership and communication skills
